Welcome to the Website of Just
Powers of Attorney.
Are you or your clients buying,
selling or inheriting property in Spain? We can help you with the
formalities that can be carried out in the United Kingdom. We can
provide:
-
Power of attorney documents for those wishing to
appoint a representative in connection with the purchase or sale of
property in Spain. Our documents are prepared in Spanish and
English for signature in front of a Notary Public anywhere in the
United Kingdom. You may find that you are unable to travel to
Spain to sign important documents, our dual language documents will
enable your representative to act on your behalf in a purchase, sale
or inheritance matter.
- Power of attorney documents for those wishing to
appoint a representative in connection with the inheritance of
Spanish property. You may be inheriting a property in
Spain along with other family members who live in
different parts of the United Kingdom. We can produce documents for
each heir to sign in their locality that can then be forwarded to
your representative in Spain. We also deal with the translation into Spanish,
notarisation and legalisation of the British death certificate, Will
and Probate.
- Legalisation (Apostille of the Hague Convention
of 5 October 1961) of documents for use in Spain at the Foreign and
Commonwealth Office in London. Official documents must be
legalised at the Foreign Office to make them acceptable to the
Spanish authorities, we can deal with this on your behalf.
- Plain and notarised translations of documents
required in connection with the purchase, sale and inheritance of
Spanish property.
- Lawyer and Estate Agent contacts in the coastal
regions of Spain and in London.
Inheritance
matters
Many British
owners of Spanish property die without a Spanish Will in place which
means that the heirs to the Spanish property or their representative
must produce the following to the Spanish authorities all translated
into Spanish, notarised and legalised at the Foreign and Commonwealth
Office in London (Apostille):
ü
British Death
Certificate
ü
Will
ü
Probate
Even if there is
a Spanish Will in existence, the Spanish authorities will request a
translated and legalised copy of the death certificate.
We can help you
by making sure that you or your representative in Spain present the
right documents to the Spanish authorities and thereby avoiding
unnecessary delays.
